Farr Tenkay® Aspirated Dust Collectors offer the highest efficiency, the best energy characteristics and the greatest operating economies available. The Tenkay is the perfect answer wherever air pollution control, worker comfort and/or product recovery are of major concern.

PROVEN ENERGY SAVINGS AND ECONOMY

With over 21 years of proven experience and constant design improvements, Tenkay collectors are based on the use of the 99.999% gravimetric efficiency Tenkay filter element. With its outstanding efficiency, the Tenkay enables you to recirculate processed air back into your facility for savings in heating and cooling make-up air. While discharge air is well below OSHA limits, Farr recommends the use of a safety monitoring filter on all recirculation systems.

Tenkay filters come in standard sizes with media area of up to 282 sq. ft. per element — the highest available in a filter of this type. High media area allows conservative air–to–media ratio selection, which translates directly into lower operating pressures and, thus, lower fan horsepower requirements... delivering additional energy savings.

SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE

The best dust collector design ensures that the maximum concentration of contaminant will fall into the hopper before it challenges the filter media. To accomplish this, the unique Tenkay design uses vertically mounted filter elements. The downward flow of contaminant in the Tenkay, introduced in the hopper below the filters, is directed away from the media—resulting in lower operating pressure and longer element life (since filters are not challenged by 100% of the contaminant). The Tenkay takes full advantage of the principles of physics to provide superior performance and lower operating costs compared to non-vertical collectors.

PERSONNEL NEVER ENTER THE COLLECTOR

Because of the Tenkay's unique outside removal system, maintenance personnel can change filters without being subjected to the potentially hazardous environment inside a collector. A patented, user-friendly cam-bar locking mechanism allows changeout in minutes, sealing an entire row of filter elements at once. This design also eliminates the service problems associated with horizontally mounted filters, which are often covered with contaminant and must be rotated to dislodge material collected on the top portion.
