Dust Collector for Fumes From a Lead Furnace

Creator contacted Camfil Svenska for a filtration solution for lead. Peter Berg, the Camfil Svenska Salesman, directly understood that it was an APC application and contacted Camfil Farr APC Nordic.

Lead is a poison and the fume extraction had to be efficient to ensure that all fumes are removed from the production area.

Camfil Farr APC evaluated the application and made a proposal based on a canopy hood solution and a Gold Series GS04 dust collector.

Creator accepted the offer and APC delivered the dust collector and design for the canopy hood and duct system.

Disposal of lead and dust is to a 210 litre standard drum. The dust hopper is equipped with a shut off valve to ensure no leakage of air and dust during exchange of drum.

The cleaned air is released outside the factory into the outside environment. The Gold Cone Hemipleat filter element ensures that the air is nearly 100% free from lead.

The unit is in operation since January 2010 and works very well.

This installation is the first pilot plant and Creator expect two additional identical installation in the near future.
